Bad attitudes towards patients

My 4 year old is admitted in Newcastle Provincial Hospital mothers are expected to sleep on the floor or theirs chairs. Mother's of patients are cleaning their own wards. This one takes a cup...I asked for a cup of hot water as I wanted to make myseelf a cup of tea I was told patients don't have a kettle the kettle is for the hospital staff.
