Waiting 2 months for repair job.

I bought a Sunbeam ice machine from New world on 23/12/2014. At the beginning of Dec.2015 it stopped working. Being within the 12 month guarantee period I returned it on the 8th of Dec 2015. They explained that the repair shop would be closed for a period in Dec. I demanded another new one, but was flatly denied. I called this morning, 11/01/2016 to inquire only to find out they are only sending it in tomorrow to the repair shop. How long will it take I asked. 3 to 4 weeks!!! So in the middle of summer I'm without an ice machine for 2 months or maybe longer. I can't believe the repair shop was closed from the 8th of Dec until the 11th of Jan. And if so, it's bad service on there behalf!
