I think they stole my money

I am trying to buy a printer for my home from them.

I first made contact with Willem who helped me to the best of his ability. I asked him to email me the quote of the printer he suggested to me. After a full hour I still haven't received the quotation. I phoned again and was told that the BIG boss handles the quotes and I will receive the quotation soon. After threatening to cancel the transaction, I received the quotation.

After spending days loading them as a supplier and finally getting the final signature, I phoned them and told Willem that they will get the payment within a day or two.

I then followed up from my company why the payment wasn't made yet and we found that there was no banking details on the quotation. I then made contact with the so called "BIG boss" Mack Bhima and asked him to send me the banking details. Only at 17h31 I received the response from him with the banking details (not on a letterhead, only on email). I then asked Mack if he can send me the details on a letter head as my company wont accept it on email only. He then responded by saying "if I was serious, they would have sent me a pro forma invoice" I then requested a pro forma invoice and he requested the company details. I told him that I will get that details for him and send it on a letterhead for him.

My company then thought it was to much trouble for R1200.00 and made a decision to pay them. The Payment was done on Monday and I was told to give it 2 days for the money to clear. I did as requested and kept contact on a daily basis.

Last night I phoned Mack and asked if the money cleared, he responded with the normal no (without giving it any thought) and told me to give it 2 days. I phoned again today ( It is day 3 after all) and asked if the money cleared. Mack told me that he will ask the people working with the account and phone me back in 5 minutes. In what seems to be a hour, Willem phone me and told me that they have sold the printer and that he ordered another printer that will be here tomorrow. He also mentioned that the new printer might be more expensive than the one quoted.

I will comment on this tomorrow when I pick up the printer to say if I needed to pay in or not. I will ensure the people reading that I will fight for my right as a consumer and do whatever necessary to get what I paid for.

This is a warning for everyone out there who wants to do business with New World Menlyn. They do not care about anyone spending less than R2000 and will even make you regret paying then the money before receiving the product.

In my eyes, they are ******** me. I regret doing business with them, and will never make the same mistake again!
