They left me high and dry.

In August 2015 I reached out to NWI to get some input on how to proceed with my Life Partner Visa application, as the laws had changed considerably. At the time I had the option to just go back to my country of origin and apply there, which would take a few weeks. They insisted I did not need to do so, and we decided to work with them.

What they did not elaborate was that they were basically only able to help organize the paperwork, which they charged an arm and a leg for. I still had to do all of the running around and sitting in queues. Had I known that, I would have saved my money and done it myself, as it was pretty straightforward what was needed, albeit a lot of volume. It also would have been cheaper, in the end, for me to fly home and do it myself.

The first co-worker, Ishmaeel, fumbled quite considerably and didn't properly inform me of processes or fees. When my first application was rejected with no actual reasoning, they assured me that the fee I paid to them included any legal assistance with any complications. Yet, Ishmaeel eventually was no longer with the company and Shelley stepped in to assist.

She reassured me that I wouldn't be left hanging, again, as the fees were inclusive of their assistance. For over a year and a half I had to chase her and the owner, Robbie, for any sort of input or update. She insisted she had been actively chasing up my visa application and was being told that there was a growing wait for results on the appeals.

Now, before I proceed, I need to reassure you that I am aware they can't be held accountable for the decision process. I can, however, be upset that they failed to even keep in touch, even after I ultimately had to follow up on the visa myself. If they were paying attention, how come I never got a "hey, your appeal has a decision on it"?

I asked a few different times what exactly I paid for. Never got a real response.

Ultimately I had to hire legal help elsewhere, which cost me another ridiculous sum, just to find out that my application wasn't even assigned to anyone yet after nearly two years. So how, exactly, was NWI keeping tabs on an application that wasn't even assigned? My legal help was able to assist with moving it along and I had it back within a week.

I'm really disappointed because I feel I got ****med out of quite a lot of money to have papers collated while I did most of the work. Don't believe them when they tell you they have a perfect record; when things go south, they won't be there for you.
