In November 2018, we found a company called New Way Paving on Snupit. Rudi Fleischman contacted us as it is the process the Snupit site uses and we agreed to use them as our contractor to do paving work at our house, after they had come to our house to take measurements. We sent a signed copy of the contract to Rudi on the 6th December 2018. On the 12th December 2018 we sent proof of a deposit, again to Rudi. And this payment of a deposit was done after we took 6 days before paying, on which Rudi had called us nonstop, asking when we're going to pay as the boss was complaining. We assumed that they probably bought material hence they were pestering us and we thought we try and understand also that it's December, shops would be closing and maybe they want to purchase material before that.

We later received an email from Rudi on the same day we sent him proof of payment (12 December 2018) that "starting date will be on the 18 December 2018." There was no phone call or email indicating otherwise and we waited for 2 to 3 days. I called to find out what was going on and we were then only told because of rain, all bricks we ordered have been stained due to rain. We were then given a choice to either continue with stained bricks or wait till Jan 2019 so that New Way Paving can purchase the right ones. We agreed to wait until January 2019. We requested a photo of these bricks just to see if we could still maybe use them somehow but Rudi took the whole day to send the photo. I sent him a message asking for it and he sent 1 Grey colored brick. We chose a meroon color brick. I asked him how is it possible that the color turned all grey and he said that's how it happens.

In January we received another email from New Way Paving that work will start on the 14 January 2019. Nothing happened, they never came nor did they call or email.

On the 16 January 2019, a group of men came by our house and took out the existing paving and this time we thought they're finally getting the work done. As I write, we're sitting with a house with no paving but frustrating sand. This is so frustrating words can't explain it!

On the 18 January 2019, we received an email that said "Due to weather no work will be taking place today all work will be schedule on Monday." Still no one came through and there was no rain on that day.

On the 21st January 2019 we received another email and it reads as follows: "Good morning . Trust you are well We will only be resuming on site the 22nd of January and complete on the 24of January. We are sorry for the delay as we New Way Paving will be giving a R2000 discount on final payment for invonvince

It's the 28th January 2019 and just sent an email saying they won't make it because of the weather, the sun is shining.
