WHAT A JOKE!

I sent my Vito 115 for service to New Vaal Motors and receive quote on 14 March 2018 for the service and other items according to their technicians which need replacement which I did not argue about and receive the amount as per pro forma invoice which include Clutch plate pressure plate Flywheel and release bearing. When I gave permission to go ahead.

On 16 March 2018 I enquire about progress when I was informed that they still await spares to be delivered. On this day I asked them to check the sinkro's inside gearbox while the gearbox is removed because we have a problem that sometimes no smooth change in second gear. On 23rd Receive Final invoice and was informed that it was not necessary for the Flywheel but they had to replace the Clutch master cylinder and the technician found the sinkro's to be ok, and we can collect the Vito. I paid the Bill and collect the Vehicle. On the way home the Vito cut out at Vaalpark, (Sasolburg) when our driver realised that half a tank off Diesel was pumped out in open air while driving, and the Vito was standing in a pool of Diesel. And 2nd and 3rd gear was rough.

New Vaal was contacted and they sent the technician who secured the loose clamp on the diesel system. We were told to take the Vito back the next day to wash all the diesel and replace the Diesel, On arrival the next day the driver were told they cant help him because the workshops/ wash bay and Diesel Pumps is not open on Saturdays.

I informed the Driver to leave the Vito there to be washed on the Monday. On Monday the Service Manager contact me and apologise for the mishap. I requested him to look at the gears as I requested already on the 3rd of April. I was sent a pro forma invoice again for R31156.10 to replace sinkros, which was now claimed to be the fault, which I immediately pad and request to repair ASAP. On 6 April I enquire on progress when I was told they still await delivery of spares from "Supplier" and will be delivered on 9 April 18 11 April enquire again on progress and was told only on 13 April 18 that now they recall the gearbox from "supplier" and await Mercedes Expert to inspect the Gearbox because it might be a "Car" Box fitted in a Kombi and they cant get the right spares.

This people kept me under the impression that Mercedes New Vaal Motors technicians is working on my vehicle while in meantime some other "Sub Contractor" was dealing with the gearbox.

How can one believe the Dealerships if they are not truthful with clients, and do not listen when you ask the first time to fix something, and informed you that the sinkro's was ok, only later to say okkk.. lets replace them, and then to tell you ...Eishhh your Vehicle have a wrong Gearbox!!!! And in the meantime they expect the public only to stay calm while they try and sort out their own un competency

How do one get help to sort this out?
