Horrible service for my Chrysler

On 18 February 2016, my Chrysler Neon 2000 model broke down. After the damage was repaired we could not get the vehicle to start. I had it towed to New Vaal Motors to repair on 3 March 2016.

I bought my Chrysler in 2004 and every service was at New Vaal Motors and the service was excellent, but this time around the service was very bad.

· If I did not contact them to enquire about my vehicle, I would not know what was going on;

· The 2 times Shaun contacted me, he called my father’s phone and not mine that is on file at the dealership. Even after requesting not to contact my father, they still did;

· After countless calls and even a visit, I had no joy of getting my vehicle repaired;

· On 9 May I told the dealership to get my vehicle ready as I will be collecting it to take it somewhere else;

· I was immediately contacted by Shaun with the second promise of getting a Chrysler expert to assist in the problem of my vehicle;

· Within 3 days, my vehicle was repaired after being at the dealership for 10 weeks;

· On 13 May I collected my vehicle and I was horrified as I drove her home;

· The airbag light kept burning;

· My speedometer did not work;

· When I opened the cubby hole, it fell on the floor;

· My dash looked as if it was fastened with Prestic;

· There was sticky tape on driver’s side and when they removed some of it, the sticky tape removed the paint on my door frame. Some sticky tape is still on the door;

· The starter is not functioning properly, but I was not given the option of getting it repaired;

· The brake fluid pump is damaged and the clutch is not functioning properly, but I was not given the option the get it repaired;

· The driver’s side window winder does not function properly (thus the sticky tape), but I was not given the option the get it repaired;

· When I opened the bonnet, the wiring that was opened was not closed up again;

· The radiator is not properly fastened (some *****s are missing);

· The oil and water levels were very low;

· The one arm of the windscreen washer water feeder was broken off;

· The car was not properly cleaned and the stuff that was painted on the tyres was so much (and still wet) that is splashed onto the side of the vehicle;

· I was told that the cost per hour will be R450 and I was charged R680. I requested the difference be paid back, but nothing has happened as yet;

· Shaun promised that he will collect the vehicle and sort all these problem out for me, but he never did.

My question is:

· Because my vehicle is 16 years old, she does not warrant quality service?

· She is not valuable to the service provider?

· Her paintwork can be damaged?

· Why wasn’t proper inspections done after the repairs to check that everything was functioning properly? And if something was not functioning properly, fix it?

· If the repairs involved costs, why was I not called with the option of repairing it?

· Why was my vehicle there for 10 weeks before it was repaired? Only after I threatened to come and take my vehicle was something constructively done?

When I drove my vehicle out of your workshop, I would have been a satisfied customer, but now I am dissatisfied, unhappy and angry. I love my car and she is valuable to me. Why should New Vaal Motors employees not treat her the same way?

I will never again use New Vaal Motors for my Chrysler and I will continue to tell people of this bad service to prevent them from being treated the way I was.
