Hotel stay at New Kings Hotel, Sea Point

I needed a place to stay in Cape Town at the end of January and this hotel looked good, position, parking close to shops etc. There was no one to help us take our luggage from the ba*****t to the reception on the 2nd floor. We found our room on the fifth and started to unpack. The hotel must have known there was a couple checking but there was only one towel, one bathrobe and two coat hangars. Only one chair, no mini fridge and a tv with only 4 channels available. No towel in the toilet. When I went to complain I was told that I was in a "superior" rom and only the "luxury" rooms had a fridge etc. Seems like a hotel for reps who stay alone for a single night. The manager arranged a mini mini fridge and an extra chair The bathroom was open to the bedroom with the shower class being a smoked glass. Real economy style. We had new towels each day but one day a towel was placed that had large holes in it. Again a trip to the manager's office and a promise of new towels. Seems like nobody talks to housekeeping. Breakfasts were passable and the system for free parking in the ba*****t worked but was unwieldy. All in all not an enjoyable stay and would not go there again, nor recommend it
