Act of great kindness

I would like to commend Nichol Hakkesteeg and his men, Trust, Elliott and Ian for their exceptional public spirited action. On Saturday 24th April my wife, two small granddaughters and our dog were involved in a motor accident outside the New Generation Yachting premises in Rabie Str Fontainebleau. The vehicle stopped on its side with the only escape door facing the sky. The granddaughters could not lift the door open and my wife was trapped at the bottom of the pile of occupants. Before the dust had settled Nichol and his men were on the scene, they opened the door and lifted each occupant out and escorted them to safety and ensured that they were OK. Nichol went to extreme lengths to contact me as I was in a no cell reception area. By the time I arrived on the scene Nichol had recorded the names addresses and details of the other party and all the witnesses. His men were engaged in protecting the vehicle against pilfering and doing an excellent job of directing traffic and avoiding further incidents. All this time they kept a watchful attentive eye on my family. This must have taken at least an hour and for that time the business activities of New Generation Yachting were placed on hold. I and my family are extremely grateful to Nichol and his men for going far beyond the call of duty in assisting us and in assuring the families ongoing well being. Thank you guys it is greatly appreciated. My youngest granddaughter could not stop telling us about the hands that reached down, lifted her out of the bakkie and helped her to the side of the road.
