Rehana Moollajie Of New Era Trustees Left Employees Stranded and Destroyed UIF Claim Rights After Liquidation

New Era Trustees, appointed as liquidators for Khewija Engineering and Construction (Pty) Ltd, have failed in their legal duty to properly communicate with affected employees and provide required documentation after finalising the liquidation.

For over a year, we have repeatedly requested UIF-related documents and updates needed to claim our UIF benefits. These requests have been ignored or left unanswered.

This negligence has now caused serious financial prejudice, as employees risk losing UIF benefits due to the lapse of the one-year claim period.

We demand immediate action, including full provision of all outstanding documents and an explanation for this unacceptable failure to engage with affected employees.
