Waited, for dirty shoes.

I had gone to New Balance Mall of Africa to get a pair of running shoes. At this point service was great. I needed a size 7.5 but there was a pair there with the right shoe being size 7 and the left shoe size 7.5 so they said they will order it in for me. Still no problem, I know mistakes happen and they sold an odd pair of shoes to someone. I was prepared to wait.

I then went back after about 2/3 weeks to collect my shoes. I do not live nearby the mall so it was a special trip on a Friday afternoon at 12:30.

I get to the shop and my shoes are apparently not there, but with the sales assistant in his car. I ask why they were in his car and apparently it was so that no one would sell my pair. I was confused by this because could they not be marked and set aside for me at the shop when I come to collect??? They called this particular person and he was coming from home and I will need to wait and hour and 20 mins until he will be there at 2:30. This was highly inconveniencing and frustrating because I felt like I wasn't being told the truth.

I then go back to the shop at 2.30 after having wasted and hour and 20 mins in the mall. The shoes, nor the assistant were in sight! I was told by the manager via the phone that they had received the wrong size and had to get from the Menlyn shop. So I was being told different stories. The staff in the shop were great and apologized and the manager tried his best to explained but the fact remains I was now waiting 2 hours for shoes I came to quickly pick up.

I eventually go then, without an apology from this particular sales assistant.

I checked the sizes in the shop and both were correct. But when I got home I saw that these shoes, which I had waited for and paid for were dirty. It looked like someone had walked around barefoot and then put their dirty feet in my shoes!!!! I have taken photos as proof. There is a distinct dirty footprint in my shoes and the under soles are dirty too!!! I understand people may try the shoes on and I respect that but this is unacceptable! From a reputable store I have received disappointing service and dirty shoes!
