Shoes only Lasted 2 months

Dear New Balance Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recent experience I had at one of your stores. On 14 April, I purchased a pair of white running shoes for my son from your Kuilsrivier branch. At the time of purchase, I clearly explained to the sales assistant, Deandré that the shoes would be worn daily by my school-going son, as part of his required uniform. Based on this information, and confirming with his manager, Sudhish Singh, they specifically recommended a certain pair of shoes and assured me that they would be suitable for everyday wear and would last. I was further reassured by the fact that the shoes carried a 6-month warranty. However, within just two months of normal use, the soles of the shoes started coming loose. My son wore the shoes approximately 5 days a week, for an average of 6 hours per school day—amounting to around 40 days of wear. I returned to the store this past weekend to request a warranty claim, only to be told by the same store manager that the damage is considered "normal wear and tear" and therefore not covered. I strongly disagree with this assessment. Two months of daily school wear—especially for a product that was specifically recommended for that exact purpose—should not result in such damage, particularly for a brand like New Balance, known for quality and durability. The promise made by your staff and the terms of the 6-month warranty should be honoured. I respectfully request that the shoes be replaced or refunded in accordance with your warranty policy. I would appreciate a swift resolution to this matter.
