Poor customer service

So I purchased a pair of New Balance running takkies, which I didn't even use for running, and the sole started peeling off. When I contacted New Balance about this obvious factory fault, I was told that there was nothing they could do because I didn't have a receipt. The takkie is clearly NB yet they were only too happy to tell me politely to jump. Great service New Balance, I won't be using your brand anymore!
