No responsibility from store or online
I have a huge issue with New Balance shoes who cannot take responsibility for selling me a bad product. July 2023 I bought 2 pairs of New Balance shoes from the Atterbury Vallue Mart outlet. I told the sales assistance that my previous pair (6 months old at the time) started tearing around the toes. The guy told me it might have been to big. He then assisted me to get the 2 pairs I bought. Within 6 months both pairs started tearing again, same on the toe side as well as pulling loose from the sole. I then sent a complaint to the customer care details found from their website, after being asked to send a bunch of photos only to be told that they cannot assist as they only deal with online order issues and I need to go back to my store. I went back to my store Friday last week where the ladies advised that complaints are dealt with by them but only if i have the slips and its within 6 months. Then both ladies proceeded to tell me that the shoe i have is the incorrect shoe for me as I have a wider foot and need another shoe type and that is the reason for my shoes tearing. Now my problem is, I do not have the slips but checked on my bank statement it was bought 7 months ago, so meaning no more warranty even if I still had the slip however according to both ladies assisting me, the wrong shoe was sold to me, so how does that work, the skilled people in store who was supposed to give me the correct product after I explained the previous pair tore, still gave me the wrong product. In essence you sell me the wrong product, it tears and its just my problem but you can tell me why it happened........................................ Completely disgusted with the way New Balance deals with issues. Seems like it is time to move to another brand shoe again............
