Defective workmanship

I bought a sneakers in December last year and I generally alternate between 3 pairs of sneaker. It's concerning that the New Balance sneaker that I purchased, the material is starting to part from the side and the front tip is parting aswell. I emailed the customer service line of which I was informed that the 6 month guarantee has passed. It concerning that a Brand such as New balance is using cheap quality material for there shoes and that they only offering a 6 month defective workman shop on ther item. Realistically if I wanted to buy a pair of sneaker that would have lasted 6 months I would have gone to cheaper store, at least i would know not to expect a longer wear in it. But I did not I bought a pair of sneaker at New Balance this what your brand standard for "one of the world's major sports footwear and apparel manufacturers, "New Balance claims to differentiate their products with technical features, such as blended gel inserts, heel counters and a greater selection of sizes, particularly for very narrow or very wide widths,but unfortunately I can ecko the same words. I would like someone to contact me with a solution
