Unfairness

So I did some tests at this lab in October 2019 when I was pregnant because my GP at the time referred me to these labs to get the tests done. Now over 2 years later, i get an email from attorneys saying I have been handed over, I said this is the first time I hear about this. Obviously after some recollection, I remember receiving a phone call and it was a man but in 2021 and I gave him my email address to email me because I was busy at work. They say they have no such record and that they did not have my email but since I changed my number, they could not get a hold of me but my old number is sometimes forwarded to my new number and they should have emailed me. I am willing to pay the test that was not covered but not interest or attorney fees because I feel they did not do their due diligence in trying to get me to pay. This is **************** and now I am the one busy contacting them and chasing them for responses. I have to pay for their laziness. Totally wrong and unfair.
