Never rent a property where NetVendor is a service provider
Never rent a property where NetVendor is the electricity provider. Recently my rental agent Rapid Rentals subscribed to NetVendor as their electricity service provider and it’s a known fact according to Hello Peter reviews that Rapid Rentals does not return tenants' deposits. I have a dispute with Rapid Rentals regarding my last occupation month rent fee and have sent Rapid Rentals an affidavit stipulating my concern that I’m afraid that I will not get my deposit back. As such, Rapid Rentals should use my deposit to pay the landlord, and should there be any defects to the property I will be entirely responsible hence the supp**** affidavit. Sadly, to the disappointment of Rapid Rentals that they will not be able to claim half of my deposit at my evacuation as they always do with almost all their tenants. They colluded with NetVendor to take 60% of every electricity purchase I make without NetVendor having any facts, moreover, knowing very well that it is ******* to collect on behalf of Rapid Rentals hence I did not consent to any contract of that nature and NetVendor does not have any legal premise to do that. When I contact NetVendor a refers me back to Rapid Rentals, moreover, NetVendor will not respond to my emails.

1. Rapid Rentals has informed netVendor that you have not yet paid the rent for the month of July and have not yet vacated the premises. The deposit you have paid will only be released once the inspection has been concluded and Rapid Rentals will communicate with you accordingly.
2. Rapid Rentals has instructed netVendor to allocate a % of your purchase to an electricity token and the remaining amount will be allocated as a collection of the outstanding rental amount. Rapid Rentals explained that you are in breach of contract due to the outstanding rental amount.
netVendor is a service and platform provider to rapid rentals, therefore all decisions made are by Rapid rentals and not netVendor.
Kindly remove all negative comments regarding netVendor in this regard and we highly recommend you deal directly with Rapid rentals to sort out any issues.

I have submitted an affidavit to Rapid Rentals stating my reasons why I will not be paying this last month's rent, particularly being my evacuation month. Given Rapid Rental's reputation and reviews on this very platform, it will be very naive if not stupid of me to pay rent this month and expect my deposit when I evacuate.
For me an affidavit is to protect my interest and as much as the deposit is for the landlord. Moreover, an affidavit is binding as it is a contract, however, knowing very well from my experience and complaints by other former Rapid Rentals clients, I don't expect Rapid Rentals to pay back my deposit, let alone with interests. I have stated that should there be any defects I will be liable and will ensure that such defects are repaired at my cost. Rapid Rentals can use the affidavit to hold me accountable and sue me for any damages. Sadly, it jeopardizes their opportunity to ***** my deposit at my evacuation hence it is not accepted by them
On 14/07/2022 I reported the matter to the Housing Rental Tribunal at Tshwane House and I was not surprised that they are currently dealing with Rapid Rentals case. They stated that it is their nature to **** people.
For the past 12 months, I have lived with a leaking toilet, and yet I reported it on 02/06/2021. Yesterday, I got a response from Rapid Rentals that the toilet was not leaking when I moved in and I neither reported it. I have sent them proof of my WhatsApp screenshot to their Agent Gerald Hanekom regarding the toilet leak under 48 hours as per their contract. This for me is now a strong indication that Rapid Rentals was targeting my deposit so they can use the toilet leak against me. Fortunately, in this digital day and age, every communication has a paper trail.
NetVendor has no legal premise to take my money and you neither have any jurisdiction to collect on behalf of your client Rapid Rentals unless there was consent between Rapid Rentals clients that NetVendor may collect on behalf of Rapid Rentals in case there is a rent payment issue. So, this makes it prudent to conclude that you are party to Rapid Rentals' conniving tactics of ******** clients' deposits.
Therefore, it is correct that one should be careful of these service providers that have given themselves authority over the rules that govern this country, whereas you are just a middleman seeking to make a buck by providing services that citizens could directly get them from the municipality. This entire complex gets its services directly from Tshwane municipality, but only this apartment is subscribed to NetVendor.
