Netflix bogus 30 day trial

I signed up for Netflix and it was written "30 days free trial"after I signed up I realised they had taken money out of my account when I enquired I was told a trial is not available in my country why was it not written in selected countries only.I immediately cancelled the membership and had paid for a service I had never used and I have no interest in ever trying again.
