Royal deep cycle batteries not suitable for load shedding
I bought 8 Royal 100ah deep cycle batteries advertised on their site as being ideal for load shedding. In less than 6 months the one set of 4 was not holding charge for even an hour with minimal led lights running. When queried they stated that the batteries are not suited for loadshedding despite their advert stating they are ideal and both Bobshop and Netdeals prevented me from doing a product review because they stated product reviews are limited to 3 months.

06 Nov 2023, 12:33Hi, thank you for your review. as bobshop confirmed and our technical team a batteries lifespan is determined by how it is used. with the current loadshedding schedule the way it is a battery is not always able to last as long as expected due to the battery not having sufficient time to recharge and it running flat 3 times a day from loadshedding. No battery supplier will accept a battery replacement after 3 months due to the current loadshedding schedule as batteries don't get ample time to charge and the cycles get used up much faster.
