Unqualified assessors
My car was in an accident, hit at the back by another vehicle at 80km, unfortunately the insurance sent my vehicle to be assessed by Net Assess. After the accident I could hear 2 sounds that were not there before the accident but the damage looked superficial but the impact was hectic. I mentioned this to Deon Orton and Dawood Sallie (assessors of net assess) at Riverside Autobody but he didn't even seem to note it and told the insurance my bumper needed to be repaired instead of replaced. Im noechanoc or panelbeater but surely the car should have been raised to assess underlying damage but no. I was told to be book car in as the parts had arrived, a lie as the car wass ro be repaired, whwn they raised the vehicle underlying damage was found. Again a delay waiting for approval and parts. Csar came back woth same sounds clearly not fixed as Riverside is a panelbeater and not a mechanic, how could the assessor not know this. Assessor sent report to insurance that the car was fine. I took the car to a Land River specialist only to find the car was in a dangerous condition and would have packed in any minute. Shocking and scary for a mother of 2. My life and my children's was in danger. Because of the unqualified unprofessional assists report, the insurance declined to fix the problems. I had to escalate the matter with the insurance until the car was taken to another service provider to be fixed. Not an apology for a poor assessment, returning my vehicle in a dangerous condition and putting my families life in danger. Appalling! I will never entrust any vehicle of mine to be assessed by them ever again.
