Nescafe GOLD - Recipe Change

Good day,

Why would you change the taste of Nescafe Gold when so many of your customers have purchased it for so many years for that particular taste signature?

Could you have not have rolled out a different branding for the new recipe such as "Platinum" for which you consider a much more premium taste which is in my opinion an inferior product.

I would like to know if you a planning on offering the original "original" recipe Nescafe Gold?

I have bought both the new "original" (which is in fact a contradiction in itself) as well as the velvety and both have a bitter aftertaste. There is also a fine residue at the bottom of the cup which was never the case before.

It's as if Nestle changed for the sake of change to be more "trendy" but you don't mess with the taste of a tried and tested brand. You're alienating your existing customers to gain new ones? What is cheaper, keeping an existing customer or signing a new one? Basic business logic seems to have failed here.

Unfortunately, after 18 years of purchasing and enjoying Nescafe Gold I will have to move on. It's going to be difficult choosing another premium instant coffee as the "original" original recipe Gold was leagues above anything else I've tried.

Good bye, it was lovely while it lasted.

Regards, Subashan Chetty
