Coffee Machine Promo Struggle

I purchase a coffee machine as a wedding gift on promo, and as stipulated there was a R1150.00 voucher once the machine waa registered. I am not the owner of the machine therefore could not open and register it as it was a GIFT. When I eventually gifted the machine, I have now been tryimg to register it. And retrieve the vouchers on behalf of the person I gifted it for. Apart from telling me I can not retrieve the vouchers as the promo link has been closed a month after. Surely there should be a decent time frame of registering and retrieving the coffee capsules. It looked like such a good deal and unfortunately left a vwdy bad taste in my mouth. Nespresso used to be my go too. However noone is able to assist rectify this. How is a company able to do this to consumers and not furnish what was agreed upon? How do us consumers get protection against this? If someone could contact me to remedy the situation I would really appreciate it.

Hi Nespresso,

The issue is that when I called last week I was told I will get access to the promo. And today told I can not as its been expired.

Bearing in mind that this is a gift. I couldn't possibly open the machine prior gifting it..

Is there no way this can be resolved?

Thanks
