Nerds Warehouse. BAD, BAD, BAD EXPERIENCE!!
Awfully bad experience. Unbelievably bad workmanship and customer service. Handed my laptop in for repairs and after 3 weeks it came back in a worse condition before booking it in for repairs with them. On confrontation I have be notified by Brandon Jansen van Vuuren that I should deal with the third party directly and that they don't take any responsibility for the damages caused by their subcontractor (or by them) which they have nominated to work on the machine whiteout my consent. I only found out about it at the end of the first week telling me they do not have the tools to do any of the repairs and that their expert knows what they are doing. After I directly confronted them on the damage caused to the machine, I’ve being told it is a piece of junk and the problem cannot be fixed. I have tried to liaise through email to find a solution to the situation through civilized manner that would have benefit both parties. They refuse to take any responsibility. I stopped by their shop located in Rubenstein Dr, Pretoria, Moreletapark to collect money they owed me which I have also be promised to be paid back into my account one week prior. Peet van Vuuren became very hostile towards me on mentioning the situation. I have been chased out of his shop him slamming the security gate in my face. I have a paper trail as evidence. Still pressing forward building an extraordinarily strong case against them. These boys do not have any business ethics, only shameless behavior. Their attitude is you owe me! The machine was sent in for two problems only 1) faulty screen cable and 2) loose hinges due to wear and tear and 3) the hard drive be upgraded with an SSD card. Now the machine has the multiple problems: • Deep scratches to the aluminum casing for the screen • Certain key's that do not work on the keyboard at all. Used to work perfectly • Battery charge not at all. Pc does not pick up the battery • Half of *****s that are gone on the machine that should hold “hardware” components in place etc. (here I feel that the machine’s hardware got further damaged and could have been prevented by simply turning the *****s back) • Wi-Fi card / antenna wires broken off. • Wi-Fi card / no Wi-Fi connection • Some of the broken clips that hold the palm rest and bottom cover together
