Ndlovu Trust - rude communication from Elmarie Jonker
We have just moved into a flat and the above trust does the maintenance and rental collection's on the unit/building. It's been three weeks now that I have contacted them regarding the stove that is not working properly. On the initial and second viewing of the unit I pointed out that the stove was dirty and needed cleaning to which they agreed. I even noted the faulty and dirty stove on the list of defects which was mailed and handed to them. They've sent the maintenance manager around repeatedly for this stove. Friday passed he said that the lady Elmarie Jonker would get back to me either the Friday or the following Monday. Friday no communication so I let it be. Monday I call to speak to this Elmarie to find out what the progress was on the repair or replacement was regarding the stove. This woman is instantaneously rude and abrupt with me. I kept my cool and tried just kept asking when we would get feedback or some sort of answer regarding this matter. Her response in another weeks time. So I let it be. However I do feel that the way she dealt with the matter and he tone and communication was totally uncalled for. The leasing the unit and the stove should be fully functional. What's more frustrating is that we cook. We are not a couple who constantly buy takeaways. I have not yet reported them to the EAAB but should I not receive positive feedback by next Monday I'm definitely going to report the matter coz there was absolutely no need for her rude manner. I do understand that the stove cannot be instantly replaced or repaired. They also have costing to work on. However it is only fair to keep us informed and at least give us a reasonable time frame on the decision they are taking on either repairs or replacement.
