My Experience With Ndaka Property Group Was Extremely Disappointing
Very disappointing experience with Ndaka Property Group
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ndaka Property Group, particularly with how my deposit refund has been handled.
I was a tenant at Flat One on Heather, Apartment 924, for a full year, from August 2025 until I vacated on 1 August 2026. Throughout my tenancy, I never missed a rental payment or paid my rent late. I always paid what I owed and tried to be understanding whenever there were issues with the property.
What has upset me most is the complete lack of communication regarding my deposit. My lease states that the deposit, including interest earned, should be refunded within 14 days if there are no deductions, and where restoration is required, the balance should be paid within a maximum of 21 days after termination.
I am still waiting for my money, and instead of receiving a clear explanation, reconciliation or communication about when my deposit will be paid, I was blocked on WhatsApp after I asked when I could expect my money. I did not threaten anyone. My message simply stated that I wanted to receive proof of payment and that I wanted to part ways with the company peacefully.
This is extremely disappointing because I was a reasonable and understanding tenant throughout my stay.
There were also maintenance issues during my tenancy. For example, I reported that the bathroom cabinet door was broken. Instead of the matter being handled with the owner, I was referred to someone to repair it at my own cost. The person who repaired it even pointed out that the cabinet had not been properly installed and was likely to break again. I also reported a light that stopped working, and although it was eventually repaired, it took a very long time.
I never made these issues a major problem because I understood that things happen. I paid my rent on time, looked after the property and cooperated with the agency.
I therefore expected the same level of professionalism when it came to returning MY deposit.
I am not asking for a favour. I am asking for money that belongs to me, together with the interest applicable under the lease, less only any legitimate and properly explained deductions.
Ndaka Property Group: I simply want my deposit returned and a proper statement showing how it has been calculated. I would have preferred to leave the company on good terms, but the lack of communication and being blocked when asking about my own money has been extremely frustrating.
Based on my experience, I would unfortunately not recommend Ndaka Property Group to anyone looking for a property management company unless they are prepared to be very persistent when it comes to communication and deposit refunds.
