Utterly Frustrating Experience with NBC Holdings

Dealing with NBC Holdings has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have ever had with a financial service provider. It took them over a year just to process a simple transfer of funds. First, they incorrectly processed it as a withdrawal, then somehow lost my funds entirely, only to “find” them much later. Throughout this entire ordeal, communication was practically non-existent — emails go unanswered, and phone calls are ignored. To make matters worse, NBC then submitted incorrect data to SARS, preventing me from filing my tax return on time. After countless follow-ups requesting that they correct the information, their response was to simply send me the IRP5 form — something completely unhelpful given that the issue lies with their submission, not mine. Their latest excuse is that the e@syfile system is not working and that they are “waiting for feedback from SARS.” Weeks have passed since then, and I’ve now missed the filing deadline as a direct result of their inaction. When I contacted SARS myself, I was informed that NBC could have easily resolved this via an alternative platform, which they should have known about. I even provided this information to NBC, yet still no response. It’s beyond me how a company of this size can be run with such gross incompetence and lack of accountability. The administrators clearly have no sense of urgency or regard for their clients. This company has proven to be completely unreliable and unprofessional.
