Incompetence personified - Bike Carrier

<p>I went into Navworld in Randburg to buy a bike carrier for my kombi which doesn't have a tow bar. Was directed to Malcolm as he was the "expert". He informed me that there was a Holdfast 3-bike carrier (R1600) or a 4-bike carrier (R2100). I asked him to order the 4-bike carrier and he told me it would be here by the Friday or Monday at the latest. After not hearing anything, I tried calling on the Tuesday morning. After spending about 20 minutes on the line holding for the receptionist and / or Malcolm, I was told that Malcolm would call me back on the number I had provided 4 or 5 times. I never heard anything so I went into the store on Tuesday afternoon to be told that the supplier had not sent the bike carrier yet due to Navworld having not paid them (good luck suppliers). Malcolm was then able to make a plan and get the bike carrier delivered on Weds. On Weds, I received a call from Malcolm asking if I wanted the tow bar fitted bike carrier or the non-tow bar carrier. This, after 6 days??? Malcolm admitted that he had messed up, as he had now received the tow bar fitted bike carrier which I specifically told him I didn't want, as I don't have a tow bar. Now, the only option Malcolm has for me is a Thule (R8500) product. So I received no customer service and they wasted 6 days that I could have spent looking for an alternative bike carrier. Pathetic! Will never recommend such horrible incompetence!</p>
