Scarm Alert: NatRent takes your money and disappears!

I had the worst experience renting through NatRent, specifically with their agent ***in Oswin. Upon arrival, the gate was not working, and I was left stranded outside for nearly two hours. When I called ***in for assistance, he transferred me to someone who never got back to me. I had no choice but to pay R1,600 from my own pocket to fix the gate myself.

The condition of the house was unacceptable— the main bedroom carpet was soaked in pet urine, and the house was still full of leftover furniture, which was never mentioned on their website. To make matters worse, the yard is shared with a caretaker named Dumesani, a stranger who walks in and out of the house as he pleases, with no prior warning. This was also never disclosed beforehand.

Despite going out of my way to fix issues with the house, I was treated terribly. A woman from the NatRent office called me and shouted at me like I was her child. Their customer service is non-existent— once your money is in their account, they no longer care about you as a tenant.

Even after submitting a list of damaged and faulty items in the house, nobody came to fix them. Instead, they demand that tenants write positive reviews upon arrival, which is extremely misleading. This is by far the worst rental agency I have ever dealt with.

If you are considering renting through NatRent, think twice— once you pay, you are completely on your own.
