These guys gave me a notice to vacate the unit of which i did, yet they still wanted to charge me for short notice. As if that wasn't enough, i had arranged for Unit inspection with Meta of which we did and i signed off the inspection form. Meta clearly indicated the issues with painting at Gold Reef View apartments and clearly documented on the inspection form and i quote "not painted well". I asked for a copy of the signed inspection form and the copy was not immediately sent to me (I have emails as a proof). Then after a week the copy of the inspection was then sent and the inspection form was modified without my consent and lot of things were added as needing repairs and the modified inspection was finalized without my knowledge. I still do not know whether there was a 2nd inspection done or they have edited the form out of their heads because nothing was communicated to me. They went on to charge me +R4500 even though the letting agent who inspected the unit clearly indicated that it was owner's responsibility (documented on the inspection form). Natrent would do whatever it takes to rip their tenants off their deposit. I will fight this to the end. I am putting my Attorney and The Estate Agency Affairs Board to the test as i do not understand how the hell could the renting agency modify a signed inspection form without the tenant's knowledge. And why would they charge tenants short notice amount even though they are the ones who instructed the tenant to vacate. Also the exorbitant amount they charge for minor repairs
