Estate agents that should be reported. DO NOT USE NATRENT>

My experience of Natrent properties is that they never honour the commitment and then when one complains are rude and try bullying tactics not to honour their commitment. I had entered into an agreement for 27 Berrywood , which had carpets in upon the initial viewing that were dirty and had a stinking stench. The agent Cassandra Phillips agreed that the unit will be cleaned and ,painted and carpets either removed or the thoroughly cleaned prior to our occupation and keys being handed over. On the day of hand-over which Cassandra indicated she would allow us to take over the weekend verus on the 1st Feb because the unit was empty and on condition the maintenance was completed as per our discussion. She left the keys at my sisters place of work as arranged upon inspection by my sister the carpets were still not cleaned and the stench even worse . Cassandra claimed she had completed an inspection earlier in the week and that the unit was ready for occupation. We opted to cancel on the basis of the said defects not being addressed and as such are entitled to our deposit and rental in advance because they did not honor the lease. The general manager Pierre a rude man is now claiming the entire rental on unjust and unfounded reasons as Natrent did not honour the agreement as agreed initially and only when I pointed out that the unit is not suitable to taken up did they suddenly jump to "tile it " instead of honoring it the first place. I urge everyone who has been cheated out of your deposits to take this agency to the rental tribunal as well as the agents to the estate agency affairs board. The manner in which they choose to practice is against the estate agency affairs board code of conduct as well as the against the rental tribunals ethical practice.
