wow, I don't even know where to begin.

This company is full of ****** and ****mers. The service provided here is absolutely beautiful and simple when you are trying to rent from them, but that all disappears very quickly when it comes to vacating the premise and requesting a deposit return. You sign a contract stating you will receive your deposit 30 days after vacating the premise, 30 days come - you follow up with them and get handed a handful of excuses as to why nothing has been done, you then receive an email with a list of things needing to be repaired ( shower walls needing to be cleaned, house needs to be painted, light bulb is dirty, stove needs to be polished, drainage issues).

To start off, shower walls the grout had marks on - the whole house was scrubbed top to bottom before moving out, marks on grout? that is basic wear and tear. house needing to be painted - fair, they should all be painted before a new tenant moves in - however, this should not be our responsibility, natrent is supposed to maintain the property - not the tenant and want to take R5800-00 To have these walls repainted, stove needing to be polished - absolute nonsense, we cleaned our stove like we were told to do when moving out "clean the property", the cleaning detergent was not removed off the stove plate properly and left a small mark, which could've been removed with a damp cloth, but now we get charged to repolish the stove plate.

fast forward, we dispute some of these pathetic excuses for repairs. we are now up to 40 days have not received any feedback after a number of emails sent and phone calls made and still no feedback.

46 days later, we follow up again and get told they are doing payment right now, they do not tell us how much we will be receiving or what the cost of these pathetic repairs amount to, eventually we receive payment of R3000, FROM A R10000 Deposit, still no clarification on where they came to this amount, and again a few emails sent to get an invoice from the contractor and a breakdown of the costs, again we eventually receive the breakdown and get charged ridiculous amounts for painting this +/- 80 m2 property - R5800, then more small amounts on top of that to clean the shower and polish the stove top, oh and don't forget the extra admin fee they add on for the repairs.

They state you must leave the property in the condition you found it in, but, if I had left the property in state I found it in, I would've walked away, they charge you a fee to clean the property, but I never had any assistance by them to clean the property before I moved in, I was left to clean the previous tenants faeces of the toilet, scrub the showers , scrub the stove and oven, yet you want to take money from me to clean the shower that was already scrubbed before I vacated.

This company will give you a handful of excuses just so they don't have to pay your deposit back. Please do not rent from this Company, RUN!!

PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR, REPORT THEM TO THE ESTATE AGENTS AFFAIR BOARD AND THE HOUSING RENTAL TRIBUNAL.
