Terrible experience from this rental agency. The property I rented last year was an awful experience. When viewing I was told that there was water and solar back up and that water/ electricity averaged around R4000 per month in total. Water alone was never less than R4500 per month because there is a caretaker that lives on the property that waters the garden and vegetables daily. There is also 2 running fish ponds one which leaks and the other runs on Electricity 24/7. Electricity was never less than R5000 per month!!! Some months as high as R9000 alone! This caretaker has full access to the property which was not ideal at all.
When moving in, the home was still FULL of the owners belongings I.e furniture even meat in the freezer as well as old groceries! The walls were not recently painted and the home was not clean at all. The kitchen was full of grease and dirt and the oven was in a filthy condition. To make matters worse I had to pay for storage for the furniture that was left behind by the owner - couches chairs tables and cabinets Upon exit I had the caretaker paint the internal part of the house and Natrent still want to take that out of my refund. I left the home in the condition I received it in aside from one or two things that required attention. Natrent has sent me a LONG list of issues which most were there when I moved in to the premises! To make matters worse when the rental agency brought prospective tenants to view the property I addressed all the issues I had encountered out of courtesy and now I see the new tenant was never informed about any of it! Caretaker that comes and goes as he pleases, fish pond leaks, excessive furniture and appliances left on the premises!!! What a shame! They do just take your money and go.
