Waiting for new licence 4 months plus.

I renewed my drivers license on the 3 March 2021. It is now 20 July 2021 and it is still not ready. The sms 33214 does not work despite having airtime. Sending my ID number gives the same response...'it has been posted'. I am on the road a lot, need to hire a car and my old drivers license expired after my new application. What now? This is a totally *********** system.
