Poor Management, Billing and Non-compliance

I received a notice on the 23rd of May 2022 from National Real Esate (Bianca Venter, Andre Doman and Maggie Lucas) that our complex (Cliffs Complex, Bloemfontein) will transition from Jager Technologies to Utility Management Solutions. The noticed issued by National Real Estate indicated that "We have successfully imported all tenant and owner information to our systems. We are in the process to import all the reading data from the meters. This is a timeous process and will be completed in due time. Please note that no meters will be disconnected during this period and all usage will be processed." In addition to the above, National Real Estate also indicated that "Your credit will be transferred from Jager (PTY)LTD to UMS." However, on the 15th of July 2022, we received an sms that our account is now in arrears and that National Real Estate has apparently given owners and tenants credit without their consent, this is contrary to the National Credit Regulations Act. What is more mind boggling is that I received the notice on the 23rd of May 2022, however according to the WhatsaApp message received from UMS (Utility Management Solutions) they commence the transfer of my credit from JagerTech without informing me on the 11th of May 2022. When I questioned them on why we were not informed UMS remained muted till date and refuse to respond. Both National Real Estate and Utility Management Solutions are misleading they customers. Due to their poor management and incompetence during the transition period they now want to place the burden on the consumer without following due process. I am left with no choice but to approach both the Consumer Protection Ombudsman and the National Credit Regulation office. I will also gather written affidavits from the owners and tenants at Cliffs Complex as additional evidence. This is exploitation and ****************. I hope you as National Real Estate will switch of our electricity on Monday (18 July 2022) as indicated by your sms on the 15th of July 2022. National Real Estate created debt in our complex now they expect that the client and customers should take responsibility for their negligence.
