tenant has to pay plummer, one day after moving into the apartment
I recently moved into my apartment in Roderooprt, HOWEVER I was left without electricity for more than three days as incorrect meter recharge number was not given that was the first problem. As a result ALL MY perishable goods where ALL damaged with not even an apology from National letting.. I did in fact indicate the cost and noting was said np sorry absolutely nothing The most recent issue I have with national letting Rooderport was that upon moving into my apartment I asked for a Plummer to unblock the drain if the bath and the sink, when the Plummer came to fix the pipes I asked what the problem was and he told me that the pipes we just old and needed to be replaced. The agent contact me and tells me that the blockage was caused my me as the most recent tenant, the bill is a whopping R 1767.00 FOR ONE BLOCKED DRAIN. I am a single mother and I look after my orphaned brother and this sort of money is just so unjustified, I feel bul**** because the agent is now transferring the cost of the building maintenance to me and not the owner which I feel is ******** and unjust. I had in fact blocked the drain I would for sure take responsibility for the cost but my point is that I had just moved in and it was just not possible to have blocked the drains. Please can someone assist me with anyone that can help me “legal help is needed “please !! mislabel because I feel so betrayed by an agent I once trusted and respected
