No information, No Statements, No Contact - MDB Debt Collectors

Inability to communicate and resolve important issues – patient had a bilateral sequential lung transplant at Groote Schuur hospital on the 11th of December 2017. As far as the patient is aware, the lung transplant is a PMB benefit.

The patient has not seen the account and do not know what the account is for. We have asked for the account, but have to date only received a mail from MDB claiming monies from the patient without breakdown of what it was for.

1. NHLS would have been for procedures done at Groote Schuur hospital whilst the patient was in hospital most likely. 2. ANY and ALL procedure / tests / anything done at Groote Schuur would have been in relation to the Bilateral sequential single lung transplant (11/12/2017) ICD-10 Z94.2. 3. ALL the NHLS claims should be either in hospital benefit or on the transplant benefit with ICD-10 Z94.2.

In this time of recovery the patient is receiving final demands, legal threats and phone calls for outstanding bills ALL of which is related to the Bilateral sequential lung transplant (11/12/2017) ICD-10 Z94.2.

It is becoming unbearable and we have already paid our large sums of cash on medication due to Bonita’s not treating the situation as urgent, and doing nothing to resolve the queries.

Can anyone liaise with NHLS as we cannot get information out of them.

No contact made, no feedback, no dates, no invoices. Medical aid is asking but cannot supply anything because NHLS has not supp**** any invoices, dates or statement.

The issues are just continuing and someone phones saying it has been paid, then someone else phones and says it has not been paid and so we go on in circles....
