Unreasonable Delay by Ombudsman and Insurer – No Resolution Since March

I am extremely disappointed with the handling and delays relating to my insurance complaint matter.

The incident occurred in March 2026, and despite numerous follow-ups, the matter still remains unresolved. I escalated the complaint to the Ombudsman, hoping for fair and efficient assistance, but the process has continued to drag on unnecessarily.

On 26 May 2026, I was advised that the insurer’s response was due by end of business that same day. However, I have now been informed, only after I enquired, that the insurer’s response is only due on 8 June 2026, with no proper explanation provided for the extension or delay.

As a consumer, this experience has been frustrating and exhausting. It feels as though I am constantly being given different timelines while no real progress is being made. The lack of urgency, communication, and accountability from both the insurer and the handling of the complaint process is unacceptable.

I am simply seeking a fair resolution and transparent communication, but after several months, I am still waiting without cer*****y or closure.

I hope this matter can finally receive the urgent attention it deserves.

Reviewer Update
Do I now have to keep coming to HelloPeter just to receive feedback on my case? This matter has been ongoing since March, and I find it extremely disappointing that I only seem to receive updates after posting publicly.

After waiting for months, I am still without a resolution. It creates the impression that the insurer is being afforded more consideration than the complainant, despite the significant delays I have experienced.

I respectfully request a meaningful update on my case, including the reason for the continued delays and a clear indication of when I can expect this matter to be finalised.
