Beware – Cases Can Be Closed Without Your Consent

I’m very disappointed by how my complaint against Old Mutual Insure was handled. After going through the process in good faith, I received an email from a legal intern, Katleho Mosesanyane, stating that I had accepted the Ombudsman’s recommendation — which I never did. My case was closed without my knowledge or consent.

This kind of service is unacceptable from an office that’s meant to protect consumers and ensure fairness. It makes you question how many other cases are being closed without proper authorization. The Ombudsman’s office should take accountability and treat complainants with the respect and transparency we deserve.
