NDA adding unnecessary financial burden on clients

We were persuaded to take life cover that we did not need, which added almost R2,000 per month to our payments. We have stable jobs and provided proof of our own life cover but were told that this cover was compulsory. A year later, we discovered that this is not the case. We were charged R20,000, which is a significant burden. I am requesting a refund of these premiums, and I also want to highlight that the policy was cancelled, yet the full amount was still debited from my account this month.

I emailed last week with no response to date which is why i have needed to resort to a public platform. We are barely making ends meet, so to know we are paying this exorbitant amount for nothing is really upsetting. My husband and I want a call today as I want that premium refunded.

2 weeks almost since my money was taken, no end in sight. Toscha makes false promises and makes no attempt to keep me updated UNLESS I hound her with an email. Communication makes all the difference, but when you are in dire straits and are being ghosted, it's the worst thing a company can do.
