NATIONAL DEBT ADVISORS: POOR SERVICE

Sharing my story since nobody is engaging with me about the extreme poor service I received:. This is the email I send to the complaints department:

To whom that can Assist

I app**** for debt counseling on 26 March 2021. The only communication I received was the following:

1. That I should complete forms and send it back. 2. The first deduction for NDA's admin and service fees will go off on 01 April 2021. 3. I will receive a call again.

My understanding therefore is that I will receive a call to inform me of what's happening next.

Since 01 April, no one from NDA attempted to call me until 07 April. There was one call on 01 April I could not take due to being at work, I was sure NDA would try to reach me again, but no one did. I felt uncomfortable with no communication or not knowing what's happening. So I phoned NDA call center and asked that they rather cancel my application.

On 08 April all my funds were frozen. To present, I still have no funds available. I phoned NDA to find out that my debt counselor is on leave and that nobody can help me. Nobody informed me that I should open a savings account and what will happen if I don't. I spend half my Saturday in the bank, trying to open a savings account without success. I went to ABSA after work on 12 April again, I was there for 2 hours. The consultant phoned ABSA debt and got 4 different stories of how to lift the lock on the account. They referred him from general enquiries, to transfers, to collections and transfers again. I will have to return to the Bank today to finalize the process of obtaining my funds that was made unavailable to me without my knowledge.

I am extremely unhappy about how my application was handled. I was send an Invoice to be settled before my application can be cancelled. I feel it is unfair to expect me to pay for a service that caused me such discomfort and inconvenience due to an oversight on your part.

I am paying the Invoice as soon as I have funds available, but I am asking that you reimburse the amount to me. I was excited to receive a professional and transparent service, unfortunately I received anything but.

I trust in receiving your lucrative feedback shortly.

Thank you

Danielle du Toit

Can anyone assist by telling me when my checque account will be unblocked??

I was just informed from ABSA that the 17W form has been send to the wrong email addresses and it will take another 10 working days from today, to unfreeze the account? Please tell me this not the case?

I would appreciate if anyone can please inform me of what is going on?

In less than 10 days it is the end of the month, should I arrange now for my salary to be paid in my savings account? What about all my debit orders? Will they be going off once the account is unlocked or how will that work? I cannot afford any more delays or to pay penalties for debit orders.

I have explained to you I have been under the impression since the 17.W form has been send 13 April, you were in the process of unlocking my account. You just informed me that it was not send to the correct email addresses and it will probably take a further 10 working days from the time you send the email, which you have not yet send?

May I please have your urgency on this matter?

Is there anyone who I can contact to lessen the turn around time?

I await your soonest response.

I am experiencing so much anger, disappointment, sadness and anxiety due to NDA's negligence. On 13 April I was advised that the process to lift the hold on my account is 10 working days. Yesterday I phoned and was told because of another mistake, the process could take another 10 working days. Today I was informed that a follow up will be done on Monday, 26 April, which is suppose to be the 10th working day, but is now unfortunately only a follow-up. I now have to make arrangements for my salary to be paid in a different account. I don't know what will happen to my debit orders. I feel trapped and burdened with additional worries. I was hoping NDA would at least try and lessen the turnaround time of lifting the lock on my account due to the infringement caused on my personel well-being, but it's clearly been a mistaken belief..
