Horrible Service from NDA

Horibble experience with National Debt Review

I am writing to bring to your immediate attention an ongoing issue regarding my Absa credit card account, which was part of my retrenchment settlement in 2022. After receiving my retrenchment package, I followed the advice of the NDA agents and did not settle the Absa credit card, as I was covered under a retrenchment policy. In December 2022, Assuredlife paid the retrenchment claim, and I was subsequently informed via email that my account had been marked as paid up and no further payments would be necessary.

However, despite receiving confirmation that the account was paid off, I have been continuously contacted by MBD Attorneys, who claim that Absa has sold the account to them due to non-payment. This is contradictory to the email I received from Absa confirming the account as settled.

I have made multiple attempts to resolve this with both NDA and Absa, speaking with various agents and compliance officers, including Naledi Totana (who has since left the company), Andiswa Ndarala, Jodyn Rance, Bianca N., Kyle, and ****a Jacobs. Unfortunately, I have received no clear answers or resolution to the matter. I was even met with rudeness by a complaints team leader, which only further added to my frustration.

As a result, I am now receiving persistent calls from MBD Attorneys about an account that should have been fully settled. I need clarity and a resolution on why Absa has allegedly sold the account to a third party when I have evidence of the payment being made.

What I Need:

A Paid-Up Letter from NDA: I have requested this multiple times but have yet to receive it. This letter should confirm that the debt has been fully settled, and no further payments are due.

An Investigation into the Discrepancy: It is essential that NDA investigates this situation thoroughly with Absa to clarify why this has occurred, given that my account should have been closed upon receipt of the retrenchment claim payment.

Immediate Cease of Calls from MBD Attorneys: Until this matter is resolved, I kindly ask that you intervene to ensure that MBD Attorneys stop contacting me regarding this account.

I believe that NDA has a responsibility in this matter, given that I followed all the procedures as advised and have been left in an untenable situation. I am requesting that you take immediate action to resolve this issue and hold the relevant parties accountable.

Please let me know how soon this can be resolved, and if you require any further documentation or information from me.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
