Rude and unprofessional behaviour

We have been dealing with Natal Scale Company for quite a number of year and have bought many scales from them in the past. We have however decided that we will never do business with them again and will also not refer anybody to them either. There products are good but we have always had some issues with their personal attitude towards customers, finding it rude and offensive. The last straw for us was when we recently took a scale that was badly neglected by one of our workers to them for repairs. In order to keep our staff member accountable for the manner in which he abused the scale we asked Natal Scale to please indicate on the quote what in their opinion needed repairing as a direct result of the way in which the scale was treated and what might be normal ware and tare. Fist our Secretary emailed them the request and they simply resent the original invoice. She then phoned them trying to explain the simple request upon which she was very rudely told that they will not do it as it is of no benefit to them. Our manager then decided to go to their office to in person raise the same request. Now keep in mind this is a small lab scale we are talking about and not a very large complicated matter. Our manager then spoke to the manager or Owner of Natal scale who very quickly became offensive and started raising his voice. He was joined by the service technician who was the one that wrote the quite and that our secretary spoke to. The two of them at no time behaved in a manner that you would expect from professional business men speaking to a return customer who has spent thousands at their business. The manager of Natal scale ended up throwing the papers he had in his hand on the ground and stomped away leaving the technician alone while he was insulting our Manager. In the end they refused to heed to our simple request so we took our scale and left.

This was a simple issue and request from our side that could have and should have been granted very quickly. Instead we will never do business with them again.
