Unprofessional jeweler

I took my white gold chain to Natal Diamonds to fix one of the links that broke when my baby boy grabbed it. This happened before and was fixed by Natal Diamonds. When I went to pick it up today, the guy told me that the person who fixed it told him that it cant be fixed as it is very delicate and that each time he fixes one link another one breaks. I was stunned as I know it was fixed by this place before and I also know that you have to pull it with force to break it. The next thing that he did shocked me out of my shoes. He took the chain and pulled, with force, and broke it further, to show me how delicate it is. How u professional. But it gets better. He then told me: so I don’t know it weighs so little you will probably not get much for it when you sell it. I was so shocked. I was never even considering selling it as it was a gift from my husband. I kept it together as I do not want to lower myself to his level and told him that I am not selling it and I would rather take it somewhere else to sell. How unprofessional can one person be?
