tombstone measurement

im really appalled by the service we received yesterday on 18 aug 2021 by a gentleman called John from calgro m3. We came to install a tombstone which we got the design from the same cemetery and section however he felt he didn't want us to install it because it was was 500 mm and he wants us to cut it to 250mm going back and when we went to measure the original tombstone its was 600mm and as well as a lot more other headstones . Now we have to go cut it and of which compromises the design and we have to bare the financial brunt of everything. after we pleaded with him he showed us the he was discriminative and did not even give us a chance to explain or show our side of the story and why the design was chosen. and this was very disappointing for my mother who paid for the grave and the tombstone for her late husband. mind you she is a pensioner and this is affecting her health. The company we chose to use is at least 90 km away from the cemetery and are very busy now we have to go back to the back of the que and for something we do not want is that fair?
