CAR CARE EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Whether you’re a pensioner or a professional you must have noticed the ever rising COL …. not the least is which includes motoring. Cars are kept on the roads longer and because the costs of keeping them in trim bodily condition they’re usually subject to “benign neglect”. My 28 year old BMW is no exception but the day came when it was almost impossible to open or close the driver’s door so I finally had to seek help. Asking various Motor Panel Shops for an estimate to fix the problem elicited “how long is a piece of string” responses and told to “book it in”. As a pensioner (that’s why it’s a 28 year old car!) I impulsively called in at a most unpretentious open-air car workshop at 4 Wyebank Road, Kloof where Zane, I presume to be the owner, not only personally identified the problem but set about remedying it immediately….together with other minor impediments including loose mudflaps and handles. After an hour all the niggling minor matters that had been bothering me for ages were gone! And at really negligible cost! This may be because Zane’s humble premises feature low overheads or because he’s a committed Christian I’ve no idea. What’s certain, however, is that I’ve found - and herewith share with you - where to go if your car’s in need of any attention whatsoever!
