Lost luggage
My luggage has been stranded in Johannesburg for more than 48 hours now, awaiting a flight to Port Elizabeth (although no one can tell me if it is even scheduled to be loaded on any of the flights). During these two days, I've spent a significant amount of time glued to my phone, attempting to connect through the provided contact number. Unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating – the phone either incessantly rings, abruptly disconnects, keeps me waiting as caller number one for an eternity, or, on the rare occasion I do get through, I'm instructed to hold, only for the line to disconnect again. What's even more exasperating is the contradictory information I've received. I've been assured that my luggage was loaded onto a flight, only to discover it wasn't. I've also been informed that it had already been delivered, which clearly wasn't the case. The difficulty in reaching anyone, coupled with receiving inconsistent messages and poor service, is simply unacceptable, especially for a company entrusted with handling people's personal belongings. This experience not only reflects poorly on the company but also creates a negative impression for foreigners facing similar challenges.
