I need legal help

I bumped into somebody's car last year he ended up bumping into somebody else. I was avoiding the car hitting me. On our discussions the owner of the car that he bumped explained that she saw the car that caused me to cause an accident. They were all so sympathetic and worried about my injuries. We exchanged what was supposed to be exchanged. They all agreed that they were insured. I was not insured as the car I was driving was firstly not mine and not insured. When the owner of the car arrived he was also told about the hit and run car. I went to the hospital. Later the guy called checking on me. I told him that I will be waiting to hear from his insurance. He called me again very rude and I asked him not to call me again. I told him that I never ran away I was going to pay my part. He asked his lawyer friend to threaten me. They served me with summons. I consulted Nardus Grove Attorneys. On my first consultation it was clear that he was not interested in the case but has already asked for an upfront payment. All I was asking was the reduced amount from what the guy was asking me to pay. To date the attorney told me via his secretary that I must pay the guy what he wants. One more thing the accident report is nowhere to be found from the police station. I feel that I did not get the service from this attorney. Anyone out there please help and advise on the next step.
