Worthless waiter
30 June 2015 Myself & my wife went to this nando's restaurant at around 15h00 to have something. We got this unprofessional service from a young so called waiter. For a start the restaurant works differently from other Nandos. There is a take-away section and if you sit-in you don't have to pay first and wait for your meal. No one indicated that to us, we stood at the takeaway queue(+/-15min) as like other nandos do to place our order and sit-in. The cashier explained and we said its okay and proceeded to our table2. that's when our nightmare started. Placed order with this young waiter, we waited for about 25 min without food. that's when we asked the other snr lady what is happening, she went to find out and returned with the news that no one has taken our order. we decided to leave (40min wasted by this unprofessional joint) as we about to leave we saw this so called waitron and confronted her on why take our order knowingly not to process it, angry as we were, she just indicated that her shift was off and sarcastically apologized, we couldn't take that as an excuse and made a scene especially my wife. We will never ever set our foot in that place, we demand a written apology.
There's more to Nando's than delicious PERi-PERi chicken. Although that's a big part of it, we also like to ruffle our feathers about the exceptional experience we create on the whole at our restaurants across South Africa and the world.
