Used Toothpick found in food
I visited the Nandoes Menlyn Mall on Saturday night, upon ordering a quarter chicken and spicy rice meal, halfway through my mall I found a broken toothpick embedded in the rice, upon discovering this I called for manager on duty Kate. I exclaimed to her my disgust at finding broken used toothpick in the rice, she was not apologetic at all, infact her demeanour and body language, and from what she said, she imp**** that we put the toothpick in the rice deliberately, she did not say it directly but her actions and words leave a lot to be desire and I am appalled that Nandoes hires someone that does not have the skills to handle complaints of this nature, I told her and I also checked this with our waitress, the waitress when bringing our food only brought cutlery and serviettes, she did not bring toothpicks, she confirmed this for me, her name is also Kate(waitress). Infact she was the only one who was helpful apologised for what happened, the manager did not apologise, makes indirect accusations, a very horrifying experience to what was a relaxing Saturday evening.
There's more to Nando's than delicious PERi-PERi chicken. Although that's a big part of it, we also like to ruffle our feathers about the exceptional experience we create on the whole at our restaurants across South Africa and the world.
