Theft by Staff

We ordered Nandos to eat in at Gateway and were told that the food would be served in a bag and we could request plates from the staff. We went and sat at a table outside once we had received our food, without thinking I put my apple cell phone on the table next to me. During the course of eating our meal one staff member eventually offered us plates which we refused as meal was almost complete. As we were finishing our meal the lady who cleans the table came and cleaned the table and in the process pocketed the phone, as we were sitting in a corner table and surrounded by plants there was no way for someone to walk past and pick up the phone. She knew what she was doing as she immediately turned off the phone. The Manager on duty was not particularly interested in our problems and we were told that we needed to report to the police and then they would view the CCTV footage. I have reported to Nandos and await their response.
